[GNC] Good Neighbors Mirae Foundation Senior Volunteers (MFSV) Visit in Cambodia

From the 11th to the 15th of September, 16 volunteers (leader, Kang Se Chang) of ‘Good Neighbors Mirae Foundation Senior Volunteers (MFSV)’ visited Cambodia to conduct a groundbreaking ceremony for the new school building at Pongror Primary School and 3 educational programs for around 160 students.

MFSV started its volunteer program by supporting a new school building in Phongror Primary School in the Ou Chrov district in Banteay Meanchey Province. This school had only 4 classrooms which was not enough to provide a good educational environment for more than 400 students. With MFSV’s support, the school can use 4 more classrooms next year. We expect that the students attending the school can study in a better environment.

In the groundbreaking ceremony, Kang Se Chang, the leader of MFSV, said, “I appreciate school principal, teachers, and dear students for your warm welcoming. We expect that this visit can be leaded to a constant relationship between MFSV and Pongror Primary School. And I also hope that you, all students, grow up and study in a good educational environment in this school and become good talented people for Cambodia.”

This time, MFSV visited 2 primary school, Pongror Primary School that MFSV support a new school building, and Koh Chiveang Primary School which is in the floating village. At those two school, MFSV provided educational programs science class, creative class with Korean traditional play materials, and color painting art class. Also, the leader of the Senior Volunteer visited the registered children’s house to deliver gifts and encourage their dreams.

With those program, 90 students from Pongror Primary school students and 70 students from Koh Chiveang Primary School students enjoyed and experienced Korean traditional plays. We appreciate you for your visit and contribution to Cambodian children.
