Local Partnership

GNC’s third approach is building local partnerships with our project participants including the most vulnerable families and children. GNC’s partnership approach includes the following:

  • Equity: GNC works with communities, the government and other organizations, believing that every partner can contribute resources and expertise for common development goals.
  • Transparency: Transparency is a vital for building trust with our partners. It encourages collaboration and ensures decisions are made in a socially responsible way.
  • Mutual benefit: GNC works with our partners and communities to build deeper engagement and complementary benefits and common goals.
  • Communities are the primary stakeholders: GNC works to ensure the community is involved in every stage of project cycle including assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Non-discrimination: GNC provides development assistance to the most vulnerable children and households regardless of race, religion, gender, political affiliation, ethnicity or ability. Partners must also make sure that our programs do not discriminate against group for any reason.
  • Fiscal responsibility: All partners have a shared responsibility to ensure funds are spent wisely and we are accountable both to our donors and to the communities we serve.
  • Consistent communication: GNC maintains open and professional relationship with all stakeholders. When problems or differences of opinion arise, we work to solve these harmoniously and come to a mutual agreement.
  • Coordination: GNC coordinates with relevant stakeholders to avoid duplication and inefficient use of resources. Partners commit to regular sharing of information from other development programs.
  • Learning: By creating a learning environment, we can enrich our organization and the people we aim to serve. by identifying shared interests and learning together.
  • Monitoring and evaluation: Community members, participant representatives and relevant stakeholders will be part of the monitoring and evaluation team to assess the effectiveness of the intervention.
