Since early 2020, Cambodia has been putting great effort to fight against the widespread COVID-19 across the nation. Schools, restaurants, and entertainment sites have been shut down to prevent community infection. Awareness of the prevention methods has been raised among people so that they can learn and keep themselves safe from the virus. Cambodia also faced severe flooding in October that affected about 156,137 households in 14 provinces including Phnom Penh, and which 31 people died of drowning. The worst affected were Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, and Pursat provinces.

GNC distributed food and hygiene materials, conducted awareness on hygiene, and stuck IEC materials in the community as a response during the crisis.
