The Good Taxi Project Creates More Jobs For Urban Community

The unemployment rate in the urban area of Cambodia is still a big challenge, and a business model is needed for the income generation of people responding to the competitive market demand. GNC initiated the Good Taxi project to support the vulnerable community overcoming this challenge.

Saveurn, 56, one of the GNC’s Tuk Tuk members live in Sangkat Cheung Aek, Khan Dangkor, Capital City of Phnom. “My wife is employed at a garment factory with less pay and my previous job can’t earn me enough. After joining the Good Taxi project, my income has triple increased up to 15$ per day. I am now able to pay back the loan I took to build my house and support my 13-year-old daughter’s studying. Additionally, I can reserve for future needs when necessary.”
