Good Neighbors Cambodia (GNC) is highly obliged and filled with courage to build a sustainable community where people can live a better life with stable economic and sufficient finances and live in peace with proper development and improvement. At the end of 2023, we feel honored to celebrate our 1st Opening of the Good Link General Assembly Event with the community and partners.
On 1st December, Good Link Cooperative (Good Project of GNC) hosted its inaugural general assembly at Khan Dangkor District Hall with the presence of Mr. Jang Dongwon (The Country Director of Good Neighbors Cambodia), Mrs. Che Jungwon (KOICA Cambodia Deputy Country Director), Mr. Tuy Chang (Deputy Governor of Dangkor District), Good Link Cooperative members and other related stakeholders.
During the event, Mr. Tuy Chan expressed his appreciation for GNC for consistently supporting the Dangkor district and vulnerable populations. Additionally, he thanked all drivers for their willingness to develop their living and the community. Lastly, he encouraged drivers to strive for good changes and collaborate effectively with GNC.
With the highest appreciation, the ceremony continued with the award announcement to drivers who completed their repayments, the cooperative group leader, and those who performed very well in their duties (those who submitted income data accurately). Afterward, all members participated in the board members election who will take the role of a leader next year. There are five elected board members among ten volunteer candidates, and Mr. Chork Boramey received the highest votes and was welcomed to be the board member representative. He celebrated his new duty with a statement “I appreciate all the drivers, and I am committed to serving the cooperative to make it even better”.
We will continue to encourage and support Good Link Cooperative’s self-reliance through cooperation with the newly elected board members as we hope to reach our goal as one for the Cambodian community.
