On 13 August 2024, Good Neighbors Cambodia participated in the inauguration ceremony of the head of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports in Mondulkiri Province presided over by the presidency of H.E. Dr. Hang Chuan Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports; H.E. Chairman of the Provincial Council; H.E. Governor of the Board of Governors of Mondulkiri Province; H.E., Ms. Thna, the delegations, the directors, the teachers, and the education officers.
In the event, the H.E. Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the rich progress of Mondulkiri Province during the last two decades in recalling the National Development Policy that prompted the transformation of the province. He expressed his acknowledgment to all teachers, education officers, and partners of all levels for their attentiveness, hard work, and dedication in fulfilling their role and responsibility in reforming the education sector in Cambodia. Moreover, H.E. Dr. Parliament, Deputy Prime Minister expressed his appreciation and invited all partners including Good Neighbors Cambodia to continue cooperating with all stakeholders to push more and more schools in Mondulkiri province to become model schools of Cambodia.
By appreciating Good Neighbors Cambodia’s efforts and participation in the goal of strengthening the quality of public education institutions, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuan Naron, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports awarded the medal to Mr. Jang Dongwon, the country director of Good Neighbors Cambodia in the inauguration ceremony.
Good Neighbors Cambodia has been supporting education in Mondulkiri province and partnered with schools at all levels to reform school standards, promote the quality of education, improve the learning environment, and school infrastructure, enhance access to information technology and standard education, promote good health, good wash in school and develop skills for teachers and students since 2014.
