MARKETING, PR-CAMPAIGN, AND PROJECT OFFICER ($370 – $885)

Responsibilities:    

Marketing, PR, and Fundraising (70 %) 

PR and Fundraising Campaigns 

  • Design innovative fundraising events and PR campaigns  
  • Facilitate internal workshops to develop concepts and themes 
  • Conduct series of PR campaigns 
  • Conduct a series of fundraising events  
  • Manage budget, financial documents, and other logistics need during camping and event implementation 
  • Evaluate effectiveness of campaigns and events 

Gift-in Kind (GIK) Program 

  • Develop GIK concept and plan 
  • Identify and engage new partners such as retailers and factories 
  • Manage incoming GIK and coordinate distribution to GNC provincial offices 
  • Set up GIK management and data tracking system 
  • Make reports to GIK donors 

Cooperate Social Responsibility Program 

  • Identify and set up meetings with companies’ CSR departments 
  • Write formal meeting request letters and deliver to companies’ CSR departments  
  • Develop pitch of projects in the GNC’s portfolio and deliver it to companies’ CSR departments 
  • Visit and maintain relationship with prospective donor companies 
  • Attended networking events 

Online Marketing and Social Media  

  • Develop web and social media analytics plan 
  • Integrate online performance tools e.g., Google Analytics or Facebook’s A/B testing 
  • Support the development of online content 
  • Improve GNC’s website  

Local Fundraising Strategy  

  • Evaluate and compare all campaigns and events 
  • Conduct strategy workshop 
  • Write 3-year strategy plan 

Local Donor Market Analysis 

  • Support the development of sampling frame and data collection tools 
  • Support the collection of data from companies and individuals 
  • Support the writing of a market analysis report  

Development Project Management (25 %) 

Project Implementation  

  • Manage small-scale projects related to education and health 
  • Prepare financial documents for procurement  
  • Track project budgets  
  • Plan and facilitate implementation activities with beneficiaries and stakeholders, e.g., students or government officials  
  • Coordinate with GNC provincial offices and implementation partners  

Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (5 %)

  • Write concept notes and grant proposal for new small-scale development projects 
  • Support the development of data collection tools 
  • Support the collection of baseline and endline data 
  • Support writing of baseline and endline reports 

Requirements: 

Note! The position is partially a learning opportunity. You will be strongly supported by the department manager, and there will be a lot of room for learning and growth within all areas of responsibility. It is not required that you have direct experience with fundraising. Similarly, it is not required that you have experience in development project management nor in design, monitoring and evaluation.   

Essentials 

  • A bachelor degree (or higher) in marketing or sales, business administration, MBA in marketing, or similar  
  • At least 1-2 years of demonstrated experience related to sales, marketing, or event planning  
  • Possess strong command of the English and Khmer language (reading, writing, oral) 
  • Fast learner and possesses the ability of self-directed learning  
  • Driven by delivering tangible results  
  • Strong motivation to create social change  
  • Strong ability to organize tasks and manage deadlines 

Desirable 

  • Experience with Corporate Social Responsibility, either from the non-profit or private sector 

Note! The role involves a diverse set of responsibilities and the positions are structured as a combination of marketing and project management. It is not a requirement that you have experience in both areas. However, it is a requirement that you find both subjects interesting and are willing to learn within the area in which you lack experience.
