PROJECT COORDINATOR/OFFICER (370$ – 885$)

Responsibilities:    

Development Project Management (60 %) 

Project Implementation  

  • Manage the implementation of projects related to education, agriculture, WASH, health, and climate change  
  • Facilitate project activities with beneficiaries and stakeholders, e.g., students  
  • Oversee and support field project managers in solving implementation challenges 
  • Ensure effective implementation and improve project activities with children, villagers, and communities  
  • Prepare financial documents for activity implementation  
  • Manage and track the budget 
  • Support procurement and bidding processes with external contractors  
  • Coordinate activities with ministries, NGOs, and other implementation partners 
  • Prepare field visits to GNC project sites, including agenda preparation, booking hotels, and preparing financial documents 

Design, Monitoring and Evaluation (5 %) 

  • Support the development and implementation of a monitoring and evaluation framework 
  • Develop data collection tools 
  • Collect quantitative and qualitative data 
  • Write monthly, annual, baseline, and 5-year evaluation reports 
  • Support the development of need assessments for new projects 
  • Support the design of new projects 
  • Conduct M&E training and workshops for provincial staff  

Grant Writing (5 %)   

  • Support the donor analysis process  
  • Write concept notes and grant proposal for new small-scale development projects 
  • Support the writing of grant proposal for large-scale development projects

Fundraising, Marketing, and PR (30 %) 

PR and Fundraising Campaigns 

  • Support the design innovative fundraising and PR campaigns  
  • Support the facilitation of internal workshops to develop concepts and themes 
  • Manage budget, financial documents, and other logistics need during camping implementation 
  • Support the completion of a series of campaign events  

Gift-in-Kind (GIK) Program 

  • Develop GIK concept and plan 
  • Identify and engage new partners such as retailers and factories 
  • Mange incoming GIK and coordinate distribution to GNC provincial offices 
  • Set up GIK management and data tracking system 
  • Make reports to GIK donors 

Online Marketing and Social Media  

  • Develop web and social media analytics plan 
  • Support the integration of online performance tools e.g., Google Analytics or Facebook’s A/B testing 
  • Support the development of online content 

Local Donor Market Analysis 

  • Manage the development of sampling frame and data collection tools 
  • Manage the collection of data from companies and individuals 
  • Manage the writing of a market analysis report 

Requirements: 

The position is partially a learning opportunity. You will be strongly supported by the department manager, and there will be a lot of room for learning and growth within all areas of responsibility. It is not required that you have experience with fundraising, marking, and PR. Similarly, it is not required that you have experience with grant writing. Additionally, the position of either coordinator or officer will depend on the extent of your experience.  

Essentials 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Sociology, Social Work, Education, or related fields. 
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience related to project implementation or a university graduate with a solid GPA 
  • Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative data 
  • Possess a strong command of the English and Khmer language (reading, writing, oral) 
  • Fast learner and possesses the ability of self-directed learning  
  • Strong interest and willingness to learn skills related to fundraising and marketing 

Desirable  

  • Experience in PR campaigning and event planning

The role involves a diverse set of responsibilities and the positions are structured as a combination of marketing and project management. It is not a requirement that you have experience in both areas. However, it is a requirement that you find both subjects interesting and are willing to learn within the area in which you lack experience.
