Good Neighbors Cambodia is dedicated to enhancing children’s health and ensuring their right to rest and leisure. Through the ‘Good Jump’ Jump Rope Event, we aim to improve students’ access to sports and recreational activities.

On February 6, 2025, Good Neighbors Cambodia successfully organized the second ‘Good Jump’ Jump Rope Event, which was honored by the presence of local officials, including Mr. Teth Panith, Deputy of Dangkao District Administration; Mr. Ven Sokun, Chief of the Education, Youth, and Sports Office; Mr. Jang Dongwon, Country Director of Good Neighbors Cambodia; and Mr. Pen Saro, Community Development Project Manager of Good Neighbors Cambodia. Teachers, volunteers, and students from Toul Roukarkoh, Russey Sanh, Cheung Ek, Ougura Trakeat, Prey Sar, Wat Ha, and Spean Thma primary schools also participated. A total of 126 participants took part in this year’s event.
The event featured engaging sports activities, including jump rope, tug-of-war, ball throwing, and relay races. All winners and participants received prizes and souvenirs, including school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, sports equipment, medals, and certificates to encourage ongoing participation in education and sports. This year, we collaborated with the Good Rangers event to create a more engaging atmosphere and bring joy to the children. Forty students who are Good Rangers members (23 girls) participated by performing in the Music Jump Rope segment and volunteering at Toul Roukarkoh Primary School.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Teth Panith expressed gratitude to Good Neighbors Cambodia for creating a space where students can gather and enjoy sports together. Mr. Ven Sokun emphasized that the Good Jump event represents a significant step in strengthening physical education support in the region. Lastly, Mr. Jang Donwon, the event host, stated, “Good Neighbors Cambodia successfully held the first Good Jump Competition last year. After today’s second competition, we look forward to the third event being even bigger and better. I encourage continued participation and support from the government, the ministry, the Khan Dangkao office, schools, teachers, and students. Let’s all work together to protect, educate, and encourage the children who are the future of Cambodia.”
With generous support from KCOC, this event not only promoted children’s physical and cognitive development but also fostered a stronger sense of belonging and interaction among students from different schools. We remain committed to expanding the Good Jump initiative and will continue working to enhance children’s access to sports and play.
*The Good Jump Event was established to increase children’s access to sports activities in Cambodia. To encourage the participation of more students, each participating school conducts preliminary rounds, and only the finalists compete on the event day. The first ‘Good Jump’ Jump Rope Event, held on September 23, 2024, received overwhelming support from students and the local community, leading to the successful launch of the second event this year.
