On December 5, Good Neighbors, in collaboration with KB Kookmin Bank, held the Graduation Ceremony for the 12th Advanced Course of the IT Academy for Future Talent Development in Cambodia.
The graduation ceremony celebrated the achievements of 59 graduates, presided over by approximately 160 distinguished guests, including His Excellency Park Jung-Wook, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Cambodia; His Excellency Dr. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Post and Telecommunications; His Excellency Dr. Chan Roath, Director of the Department of Scientific Research at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports; Mr. Jang Dongwon, Country Director of Good Neighbors Cambodia; Mr. Kim Dal-hae, Vice President of KB Prasac Bank; and Mr. Kim Han-soo, Director of the Korea Software Human Resource Development Center.
The ‘Cambodia KB IT Academy’ is a project initiated by KB Kookmin Bank to provide specialized IT education tailored for the financial industry to Cambodian youth. This initiative is carried out in partnership with the Korea Software Human Resource Development Center, starting in 2023. This project has provided vocational training opportunities to Cambodian youth through developing quality IT education programs that reflect Cambodia’s industrial needs, infrastructure support, and awareness improvement. Additionally, the academy organizes job-related activities, including special lectures and job fairs. Notably, all 59 graduates from the previous year successfully secured employment.
Kheang Nigchseang, a student who participated in the graduation ceremony, shared, “Through the advanced course, I was able to discover my potential and dream of becoming an IT expert.” She added, “Thank you for supporting Cambodian youth by providing quality IT education.”
