Sponsorship
The sponsorship program is implemented across all Community Development Programs (CDPs) and is designed to offer children in the community opportunities for a more promising future. Annually, we enroll registered children to receive sponsorship packages encompassing educational support, healthcare provisions, and additional assistance to nurture their well-being and foster a drive for an improved quality of life. The sponsorship program comprises the following components:
Annual Child Letter (ACL): This initiative is tailored to cultivate and fortify the bond between registered children (RC) and sponsors, enabling sponsors to consistently extend their support for children and the community.
Annual Progress Report (APR): This endeavor ensures sponsors are apprised of the progress made by the registered children and their ongoing needs, aiding them in striving towards their aspirations.
Home Visits: Each year, a minimum of three home visits are conducted at the family’s residence of each registered child (RC) to enhance their comprehension of the child’s developmental progress.
Health Check-up: This mandatory annual service is extended to all children enrolled in the child sponsorship program. Annual Health Check-up aims to promote a focus on health for registered children and their families.
Local Child Sponsorship
The Local Child Sponsorship program engages the public by offering opportunities to address the critical challenges underprivileged children face in rural Cambodia. Donors in Local Child Sponsorship can choose to sponsor one or more children and build meaningful connections through regular letters and updates. Your contributions provide essentials like school supplies, hygiene materials, and health check-ups, benefiting the children you sponsor. Additionally, 35% of your donation goes to community development projects, such as improving access to clean water and renovating schools, creating a healthier environment for children. Donors’ kindness contributes to:
Annual Health Check-up: In the package, there is an annual health check-up service to monitor a child’s health status. The check-ups include a general health examination and a child’s growth measurement.
Hygiene Material Support: Annually, Local Child Sponsorship distributes hygiene material packages including soap, shampoo, washing powder, toothbrushes, and toothpaste to promote oral health care and hygiene in the community.
Study Material Support: The program shares financial responsibility with children’s families for sending them to school. The local Child sponsorship program provides study materials such as books, pens, school bags, and school uniforms.
Home Visit: Home Visit is a part of GNC’s child sponsorship program to ensure the well-being of children and families in the community.
Other Activities: In addition to the above services, the Local Child Sponsorship operates extra activities such as dental check-ups, safe drinking water supply, school renovation, child rights awareness events, and other necessary activities that respond to the needs of children, families, and communities.
