We establish infrastructures and libraries to guarantee students access to higher-quality learning. Using effective digital aids and tools, such as televisions, can significantly enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
On September 25, 2024, SAMSUNG held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) so-called Samsung Love & Care event in collaboration with the Dangkao community of Good Neighbors Cambodia. In line with its vision to enhance education quality and integrate digital tools in Cambodian public schools, SAMSUNG donated 11 smart TVs to four primary schools in the Dangkao district—Wat Ha, Prey Sa, Russey Sanh, and Chueng Aek primary school. Additionally, school materials were provided to students to prepare them for the upcoming academic year.
The handover ceremony took place at Wat Ha Primary School, presided over by Ms. Khorn Sovichea, a representative of Wat Ha School; Mr. Ly Kovith, Head of Electronic Equipment for Cambodia and Laos; Mr. Chham Muney, Sponsorship Operation Manager at Good Neighbors Cambodia; along with SAMSUNG Cambodia staff, teachers, and 267 students.
The event began with a warm welcome and a school development progress report from Ms. Sovichea who expressed her gratitude to SAMSUNG and Good Neighbors Cambodia for their contributions to improving education at Wat Ha Primary School. Following with Mr. Chham Muney highlighted the active role of Good Neighbors Cambodia in supporting school infrastructure, library construction, and the integration of digital education. He acknowledged SAMSUNG’s crucial contributions to enhancing education in Cambodia, helping the country move closer to achieving its sustainable development goals.
Mr. Ly Kovith, Head of Electronic Equipment for Cambodia and Laos, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome from children and everyone. He emphasized SAMSUNG’s commitment to ensuring children in Cambodia have access to quality education and digital education that plays a significant part in children’s development and future. He also encouraged teachers and students to familiarize themselves with the digital world.
To conclude the event, SAMSUNG Cambodia handed over the smart TVs and school supplies to the schools and students. All preside guests, then toured the library and teacher’s office, where the TVs will be installed to support school management and enhance teachers’ capabilities in using computers, televisions, basic software, and online content. This initiative aims to improve student engagement and learning outcomes in classrooms and the library.
