Mrs. Pan Ton, 52, lives in Pravanh village, Pirthnu commune, Snuol district, Kratie province. She has been working for GNC based in Snuol Community Development Program (SN CDP) as a Community Development Committee (CDC) since 2016. With her strong commitment and influence in the community, Mrs. Ton was selected as a member of WASH committees to implement the project of strengthening sanitation and hygiene within her community.

“Village chief and I requested a project, strengthening sanitation and hygiene. The project was approved by working cooperatively with the Provincial Department of Rural Development (PDRD). Prevent village was selected as a model village to implement Open Defecation Free (ODF).” Said, Mrs. Pon.

Mrs. Pan Ton and other WASH committee members were trained on Behavior Change Communication (BCC). Then, they apply the knowledge to raise awareness among community people, led the reflection meeting, and awareness campaign. As a result, 146 households transformed and had the toilet at home.
