Good Neighbors Cambodia-KB Bank-KB Bank Labor Union held a handover ceremony of KB Library for Cambodian students in Phnom Penh

Good Neighbors Cambodia announced that the KB Library handover ceremony was held on 10th Oct to celebrate the KB Library’s completion sponsored by KB Bank and KB Bank Labor Union in Prey Sa Primary School, Dang Kao, Phnom Penh.

The handover ceremony was attended by Mr. Ham Youngho, KB Labor Union Chief Vice Chairman, and Ms. Jang Sooji, KB Labor Union Vice Chairman, as well as Mr. Jang Young Jae, KB bank Cambodia Chairman, Mr. Kim Dal Hae KB bank Cambodia COO (A chief operating officer), Mr. Oum Sam Oeun, PRASAC MFI Plc CEO, Mr. Kim Hyun Jong PRASAC MFI Plc deputy CEO, Mr. Jang Dongwon, Country Director of Good Neighbor Cambodia, Tuy Chhan deputy of Khan governor, Mr.Ouk Sambath DoE(District office for Education) Assistant, and many teachers and students also.

 

KB Bank contributed not only KB Library this time, but also around 700 Khmer and English storybooks, child-friendly designed desks, and chair sets, giant floor seat cushions for reading, and customized book shelve for Cambodian students. The biggest benefit of this library is the spatial structure of the library was designed to encourage the children to read the book anywhere they want to. To operate this library sustainably, Good Neighbors Cambodia will support the continuous cooperation with the school, KB bank, and the community of Dang Kao and keep monitoring it.

Mr. Ham Youngho, KB Labor Union Chief Vice Chairman said, “It gives me great pleasure that we can support this beautiful KB Library with the heartful donation of every KB bank colleague after the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that all the Prey Sa primary school students could grow up with great hope and become important people in Cambodia through this new KB Library.”

Mr. Tuy Chhan, deputy of Khan governor said “I hope the good relations with Kahn Dang Kao, KB bank, and Good Neighbors Cambodia for a long. And also, I would like to ask you the teachers and students of Prey Sa primary school to pay particular attention to maintaining this library clean and nice. So that many community people can use this library together happily.”
