Puth Vathar, 10, lives with his mother in Thmar Koul district, Battambang province. The boy has experienced health problem since he was 1-year-old. In January 2020, GNC found Vathar’s family in need of support, so the project staff registered the child in CHS program. Thereafter, the boy was sick and referred to the nearby health center. His mother was supported with food and transportation fee during the child’s treatment. The child now has recovered from the acute stomachache and get back to school again.
“Public health service becomes helpful and affordable for my family now through CHS. I hope the program could be extended to reach more beneficiaries.” Vuthar’s mother added.
