Good Neighbors Cambodia will distribute 50,000 face masks to children and students in five provinces and the capital such as Phnom Penh, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kratie, and Mondulkiri.
The 50,000 face masks were donated from the S.E.C Health Care company in the middle of this week for prevention and fighting the outbreaking of Covid-19 in Cambodia.
Mr. Robert Hwang, Managing Director of S.E.C Health Care company said: “These face masks have an international standard quality that will help protect children and students from the Covid-19.” The aim of this face mask donation is to join the Cambodian government in fighting against the spread of Covid-19.
Mr. Robert continued: “So far, his company has donated face masks to various ministries, institutions, communities, as well as more than 1 million people and children in rural areas, he will continue to donate face masks and other humanitarian donations as well.
Mr. Jang Dongwon, Country Director of Good Neighbors Cambodia, said that after receiving 50,000 face masks, his organization will distribute to children and students in Phnom Penh, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kratie, and Mondulkiri at the beginning of next month.
He said: “From the second week of October 2021 onwards, Good Neighbors Cambodia plans to distribute masks to 67 schools, 2 health centers, 2 communes, 1,900 children and 50 computer students. In which 9,000 face masks (180 boxes) for 4,000 students at 20 schools in Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, 8,000 face masks (160 boxes) for more than 2,400 students at 10 schools in Thmor Koul district, Battambang province and at other places such as Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh, Snoul district, Kratie province, Koh Nhek district, Mondulkiri province”.
